InCoB2007 brings together scientists working in bioinformatics and computational biology, spanning a wide range of underpinning disciplines including computer science, biology, biotechnology,
genomics, proteomics, transcriptomics, mathematics and statistics. Participants can be involved in the following ways: EXTENDED SUBMISSION DEADLINE: 1 June 2007 ACCEPTANCE: 30 JUNE 2007 InCoB2007 will feature oral presentations shortlisted from full paper submissions for selection in the special conference supplement of the journal BMC Bioinformatics. Other full paper submissions will be considered for the special conference supplement of the journal Biomolecular Frontiers. Full papers are invited in the following areas:
Original articles, not under consideration for publication elsewhere, must be formatted in the style required by BMC Bioinformatics, as set out in their "Instructions for Authors" and submitted to the InCoB2007 paper submission site. One author of each shortlisted paper will present their research at InCoB2007, as a registered conference attendee. Based on feedback provided by session chairs and InCoB International Advisory Committee members on these oral presentations, a select number of papers will be accepted for publication in the APBioNet-InCoB2007 Supplement of BMC Bioinformatics, subject to copyright and payment of article processing charges required to be paid by APBioNet to Biomed Central. Details of these charges will be provided from the InCoB2007 paper submission site. In addition, other papers may also be considered for a special conference supplement in the journal Biomolecular Frontiers. More details will be provided at the submission page. Papers that are not shortlisted for oral presentations will be automatically considered for poster presentation. Submission Site EXTENDED SUBMISSION DEADLINE: 15 JUNE 2007 ACCEPTANCE: 30 JUNE 2007 We solicit high-quality research posters in any aspect of bioinformatics and computational biology conveying a scientific result. At least one author of each selected poster must register for InCoB2007. Furthermore, a single registration can cover only only oral presentation and one poster presentation or two poster presentations. Posters are intended to convey a scientific result and are not as advertisements for commercial software. Submission Site EXTENDED SUBMISSION DEADLINE: 15 JUNE 2007 ACCEPTANCE: 30 JUNE 2007 InCoB2007 will feature a limited number of half-day tutorials on Aug. 27, on either well-established or new and emerging, cutting-edge topics, relevant to bioinformatics. Lecture materials and instruction notes are required from the presenter, who will be a provided a free InCoB2007 registration. A 500-word proposal, with the title, details of presenter(s), tutorial outline and relevance should be provided. Submission Site EXTENDED SUBMISSION DEADLINE: 15 JUNE 2007 ACCEPTANCE: 30 JUNE 2007 One-day Special Interest Group Meetings can be organized on Aug. 27, 2007. A 500-word proposal, with the title, details of presenter(s), SIG outline and relevance should be provided. SIG organizers are responsible for organizing the speakers for their SIG meeting sessions, and all presenters and SIG participants should register for InCoB2007. Submission Site |
